Kane County requires building permits for many types of construction including additions, finishing spaces in basements and attics, porches, decks, gazebos, pools, residing and reroofing. It is your responsibility to check with Kane County if a permit is required for your project, and if it is, apply for and obtain the required permits before starting your project. As review and approvals may take several weeks, it is recommended that you obtain any required permits before ordering materials or scheduling work. If you have questions, please call 630-232-3485.

Dear Residents of North Mill Creek,

We're reaching out to inform you that the North Sidewalk Improvement Project is set to commence on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024. Everlast Blacktop, Inc. and HLR will be overseeing the project. The goal is to enhance our sidewalks by replacing damaged sections, addressing trip hazards, and ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), particularly at crosswalks.

This project is part of our ongoing efforts to improve pedestrian infrastructure in our community. Construction is expected to be completed by August, with final restoration scheduled for September.

The scope of work has already been established for this initiative. However, if you notice any additional trip hazards within North Mill Creek, please don't hesitate to contact the Mill Creek SSA Coordinator at millcreekssa@kanecountyil.gov.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work to enhance safety and accessibility in our neighborhood.
