Feed the Cart

Feed the cart all his favorites such as paper, glass containers, flattened cardboard, metal cans and plastic jugs.

You're probably on this page because you met our good friend, Loop, the little cart with a BIG appetite for recycling. Kane County's Recycling Program is a proud partner of the regional Feed the Cart campaign. Can't get enough Loop? Follow him on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

One of the most important functions of our Recycling Program is to help Kane County residents and businesses figure out how to recycle right. Please use the resources and links on this page to help Loop stick to his diet of curbside recyclables, and to find solutions for other hard-to-recycle materials that don't belong in Loop's belly.

Recycle Coach

Recycle Coach is a one-stop-shop of recycling information. Just pick your town, switch over to the "what goes where" tab, and get expert local information on how and where to recycle all sorts of things.

Curbside Recycling Guidelines (Loop's favorite foods!)

Recycling A-Z (Same info as Recycle Coach, but in a long list!)

Household Hazardous Waste Programs (Loop can't eat these items, but you can still dispose of them safely)

The Waste & Recycling Journey (Loop's role in the broader recycling process!)

Kane County Recycling Centers (Accepting mostly things that Loop can't eat)

The Feed the Cart campaign has been funded wholly or in part by the United States Environmental Protection Agency under assistance agreement 84079901 to Metropolitan Mayors Caucus.
